SUMMARY:2019 ISSCR/KSSCR International Symposium
DESCRIPTION:Welcome & Invitation Message\nfrom the President of the Korean Society for Stem Cell Research (KSSCR):\n2019 ISSCR/KSSCR International Symposium will be held on September 26-27\, 2019 in Seoul\, South Korea. This will be a joint meeting of KSSCR and the International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR)\, the largest and the most authoritative stem cell society in the world. More than 800 participants from Korea and abroad are expected to participate in this international symposium.\nWith no doubts\, the 2019 ISSCR/KSSCR International Symposium will be the biggest and the most successful stem cell symposium in the history of Korean stem cell research over the past two decades\, which will greatly contribute to the development of KSSCR and the stem cell research in Korea in the future both quantitatively and qualitatively.\nThe 2019 ISSCR/KSSCR International Symposium will consist of excellent scientific programs and presentations\, including a keynote lecture by Professor Shinya Yamanaka from Kyoto University\, Japan\, who was awarded a Nobel Prize in 2012 for his groundbreaking discovery of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC). Another keynote lecture will be delivered by Professor Deepak Srivastava from Gladstone Institutes\, USA\, who is the president-elect of ISSCR. In addition\, there will be seven special sessions and six concurrent sessions\, covering most hot and important topics of stem cell field from basic research to clinical applications.
